September is the month for the whitetail shift and as part of that we need to shift our thinking as well! It is time to put the final touches on any offseason projects (Stands, Water Tanks, Food Plots, Trail Cameras,...) and stay out of your hunting land until season opens. As the local food sources literally dry up and get harvested the mature bucks will gravitate to the lush green fall food plots we worked so hard to establish. Once they have found them we can not continue to bump them out of their new area. Low pressure is the key to establishing the fall/winter territories and we have to make sure we do our part. Any maintenance can be done quickly, mid-day with minimal noise and scent. We've done the work now allow it to payoff in hunting season!
