So you should know by now when the November rut was taking place in your area. Fast forward 28-30 days and the secondary rut will be happening. In NE Ohio the secondary rut is in full swing right now and it can easily be seen by the scrapes being opened back up and the pictures coming in from the licking branches we have out. On last Saturday morning I had the pleasure of watching six bucks chasing two does and it was every bit as intense as early November. If you have controlled your hunting pressure, watched the wind direction, and (we use the HuntWise app to help) monitored your indicators , then you could also be in for an exciting secondary rut hunt!
