The first time I suggested adding a water tank to our property which already has five streams my wife thought I had lost my mind! Now we have five additional water tanks and they are all getting hit daily. As the rut heated up in late October the deer started using our tanks and now that we are in mid-December they are hitting them more every week. We prefer tanks over just water holes because of the EHD midges but either will work. (Make sure you add an escape branch to each tank so that you are not creating a mouse trap!)
